EGF EVENT UPDATE

“The Earth is what we all have in common.”
WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
5th June
ON THE OCCASION OF WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY TREE PLANTATION DRIVE WAS ORGANIZED AT ALL THE EGF’S PROJECTS PAN INDIA.
AWARENESS MARCHES REGARDING ENVIRONMENT CONSERVATION AND CHEMICAL-FREE SOIL WERE ALSO ORGANIZED BY EGF VOLUNTEERS AND STUDENTS OF DIFFERENT TRAINING PROGRAMS.
The focus for World Environment Day 2022 was Ecosystem Restoration celebrated under the theme “नदी बचाओ पानी बचाओ”. Humanity has been exploiting and destroying the planet’s ecosystems for too long. Every three seconds, the world loses enough forest to cover a football pitch and, over the last century, half of all wetlands have been destroyed. As much as 50 percent of coral reefs have already been lost and up to 90 percent could be lost by 2050, even if global warming is limited to an increase of 1.5°C.
