Honouring Tribal Legacy: Birsa Munda Jayanti Observed at GRC
Birsa Munda Jayanti was celebrated with reverence and enthusiasm on 15 November at GRC, in collaboration with students from CTL, WEC Jamania and EOW Khargone, marking Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas.
The programme began with lamp lighting, worship of Maa Saraswati and Bhagwan Birsa Munda, and the chanting of Gayatri Mantra. Students learned about his inspiring life, his fight for tribal rights, and his contribution to protecting identity, land and dignity. Engaging activities such as Chair Race, Matki Phod and cultural dance performances were held, encouraging participation, teamwork and cultural pride.
Key messages were delivered by Shri Narayan Thakur Ji, Shri Rupesh Dakoliya Ji and Shri Mahadev Patidar Ji, who highlighted his legacy of resistance, justice and cultural preservation. Their words emphasised that Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas is not only a tribute but a reminder to protect indigenous heritage and empower future generations.
The programme was attended by dignitaries including Shri Kishan Meghwal Ji, along with GRC Head Nandkishore Sengar Ji and key trainers from EOW, CTL and WEC.
