Empowerment in Action: Reflections from the Visit of Smt. Manisha Jain Ji
In December, EGF hosted Smt. Manisha Jain Ji, Executive Director of Ekal Vidyalaya USA, for an extensive field visit across multiple Bharat centers. She provided valuable insights, encouragement to teams and beneficiaries, emphasized efficiency, transparency, and long-term impact.
The visit began at EGF Delhi HO, where she interacted with the central team and office bearers. Department-wise discussions focused on strengthening coordination, improving reporting systems, and enhancing communication between field and central teams.
The visit across GRC Gajraula, Karanjo, and Giridih highlighted seamless integration of training, agriculture, and livelihoods. Key highlights included skill programs (WEC, CTL, Beautician, EOW) at Gajraula; turmeric processing, organic farming, horticulture, and income-linked skills at Karanjo; and trainee interactions, Poshan Vatikas, and farmer productivity gains at Giridih.
At IVD Prayagraj & Parasnath–Shikharji, the team interacted with staff and trainees while reviewing women-centric programs, CTL training, nutrition gardens, and mobile repairing, Smart Classes, Aarogya activities, and organic farming initiatives.
In Purulia, an integrated site showcased OCT and WEC activities: live demonstrations, trainee interactions, and WEC-driven livelihoods followed a traditional welcome. A village visit revealed nutrition gardens, vermi composting, and organic farming boosting family incomes. The visit reaffirmed shared vision for empowered, self-sustained rural communities via integrated development. Her guidance will enhance program quality & expand on-ground impact.
