The 77th Republic Day of Bharat was celebrated with great pride and patriotic spirit across Ekal Gramothan Foundation (EGF) centers nationwide. The celebrations reflected the values of unity, democracy, and nation-building, with enthusiastic participation from children, youth, women, and community members.
Over 11,000 participants joined the Republic Day programmes across 138 IVD, EOW, SDC, CTL, GRC, and WEC centers, where flag hoisting, cultural performances, patriotic songs, and speeches created an atmosphere of national pride.
The celebration at EGF Head Office was a special highlight, featuring flag hoisting by senior dignitaries, and vibrant activities such as Tiranga Yatra, Bharat Mata Pujan, and inspiring cultural presentations. The day concluded with a renewed commitment towards the nation and its constitutional ideals.
A 5-day (20-24 January) Training for Trainers (ToT) Workshop was successfully organized at GRC Khandoli, Jharkhand by Ekal Gramothan Foundation to strengthen trainers’ subject expertise, teaching skills, and overall personality development. The workshop provided a holistic blend of theoretical sessions, practical demonstrations, and interactive group activities, covering key areas such as computer basics, software applications, accounting concepts, GST compliance, cybersecurity awareness, and English communication. Each day followed a structured routine with vandana, physical activities, intellectual discussions, and cultural engagements, promoting all-round growth. Trainers participated in mock teaching, hands-on digital practice, classroom management sessions, and practical assessments, followed by personalized feedback and evaluation. The programme concluded with reflection, planning for co-curricular activities, certificate distribution, and a renewed commitment among trainers to deliver quality education across EGF initiatives.
On the auspicious occasion of Vasant Panchami, Saraswati Puja was reverently celebrated across 220+ Ekal Gramothan Foundation centers and at the Head Office. The celebrations were marked by devotion and enthusiasm, reflecting the foundation’s deep commitment to promoting education, skill development, and holistic empowerment at the grassroots. Students and community members were informed about the cultural and spiritual significance of the festival, the importance of worshipping Maa Saraswati, and its references in the Puranas.
The programme included Saraswati Pujan, recitation of Saraswati Vandana, collective prayers, and distribution of prasad. The participation of centers across regions, along with the Head Office, symbolised unity in preserving cultural values while advancing the mission of learning and nation-building. The observance reinforced EGF’s dedication to nurturing knowledge, wisdom, and character development among communities.
Ekal Gramothan Foundation marked another significant milestone with the inauguration of the Women Empowerment Center (WEC) at Haripur, Bihar, on January 19, 2026. The center was inaugurated under the guidance and support of Shri Manohar Miryala Ji, whose encouragement and commitment continue to strengthen grassroots empowerment initiatives.
The newly established WEC at Haripur aims to provide women with skill development opportunities, vocational training, and capacity-building support, enabling them to become self-reliant and economically independent. The center will serve as a platform for enhancing confidence, entrepreneurship, and community leadership among rural women.
During the inauguration ceremony, community members and local stakeholders gathered to celebrate this important step toward inclusive development. The occasion highlighted the Foundation’s continued dedication to empowering women and fostering sustainable progress at the village level.

Ekal Gramothan Foundation marked a significant step towards women empowerment with the successful inauguration of Women Empowerment and Tailoring Training Centers (WEC) in Tarapur (Munger), Bihar, on 16 January 2026. The center was inaugurated with traditional lamp-lighting ceremonies, prayers, and the gracious presence of respected dignitaries, social leaders, and senior Ekal functionaries.
With enthusiastic participation from students, rural women, and community members, the center aim to provide vocational skill training, enabling women to achieve self-reliance, financial independence, and livelihood opportunities. This initiative reflects EGF’s continued commitment to building an empowered and self-reliant rural society.

A Grand Tribute to Swami Vivekananda
On the occasion of National Youth Day, 12th January (Swami Vivekananda Jayanti), Ekal Gramothan Foundation celebrated vibrant Sports Activities under Vivekananda Youth Club across 220+ centers, uniting over 20,070 rural youth in a grand spirit of energy, discipline, and teamwork. Inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s vision of character-building through physical strength, the events featured races, kabaddi, volleyball, cultural performances, and community participation, transforming village grounds into platforms of leadership and confidence. The celebrations were further enriched by the guidance and blessings of respected senior karyakartas and dignitaries, including Shri Ramesh Kanodia Ji, President of EGF, Dr. Aradhana Sharma Ji, General Secretary, Dr. Smita Chaudhary Ji, Sectretary and other esteemed leaders at Delhi Head Office. Embracing the message of “Fit Youth, Strong Nation,” the initiative highlighted how sports nurture resilience, unity, and future-ready citizens, strengthening the foundation for a self-reliant and developed Bharat.
On 10th January 2026, EGF inaugurated a new Computer Training Lab in Harichandanpur, Odisha, marking a significant step towards digital empowerment in tribal regions. The programme began with traditional prayers, floral tributes, Vedic chants, and lamp lighting, symbolizing value-based education. The lab was formally inaugurated by Shri Raghunath Maharana Ji and Shri Damrudhar Mahanto Ji through customary rituals, followed by the first mouse click to commence training. It will provide children and youth with essential computer literacy, opening pathways for local opportunities and self-reliance. The event concluded with community appreciation, vote of thanks, and Kalyan Mantra.
In December, EGF hosted Smt. Manisha Jain Ji, Executive Director of Ekal Vidyalaya USA, for an extensive field visit across multiple Bharat centers. She provided valuable insights, encouragement to teams and beneficiaries, emphasized efficiency, transparency, and long-term impact.
The visit began at EGF Delhi HO, where she interacted with the central team and office bearers. Department-wise discussions focused on strengthening coordination, improving reporting systems, and enhancing communication between field and central teams.
The visit across GRC Gajraula, Karanjo, and Giridih highlighted seamless integration of training, agriculture, and livelihoods. Key highlights included skill programs (WEC, CTL, Beautician, EOW) at Gajraula; turmeric processing, organic farming, horticulture, and income-linked skills at Karanjo; and trainee interactions, Poshan Vatikas, and farmer productivity gains at Giridih.
At IVD Prayagraj & Parasnath–Shikharji, the team interacted with staff and trainees while reviewing women-centric programs, CTL training, nutrition gardens, and mobile repairing, Smart Classes, Aarogya activities, and organic farming initiatives.
In Purulia, an integrated site showcased OCT and WEC activities: live demonstrations, trainee interactions, and WEC-driven livelihoods followed a traditional welcome. A village visit revealed nutrition gardens, vermi composting, and organic farming boosting family incomes. The visit reaffirmed shared vision for empowered, self-sustained rural communities via integrated development. Her guidance will enhance program quality & expand on-ground impact.
On 27 December 2025, EOW Shamlaji organized a Cyber Awareness Program at Uchapadar Ashram School, with the participation of Zonal Coordinator Shri Samuji Katara and Chhota Udepur IVD Coordinator Shri Sajjanji. During the session, students were guided on critical aspects of cyber safety, including recognizing online risks, safeguarding personal information, and practicing responsible digital behavior. Initiatives like this play a vital role in equipping young learners with the awareness and confidence needed to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.
